Our experience with Green DIY Energy was certainly a positive one. We were pleasantly surprised when we received Green DIY Energy DIY Solar Panel Guides. The author of this product made a very clear guide that is easy to understand and follow, clearly written for the Do it Yourselfer, the Novice with easy step by step instructions. All instructions and videos are extremely well produced giving you a feeling that it couldn’t be easier then this. Green DIY Energy comes with 8 different PDF documents, with over 285 pages of content. It discusses sizing systems, on-grid, off-grid, inverter setup, battery systems, how to choose solar cells, how to solder, permitting, and even choosing a commercial system. The GreenDIYEnergy system also comes with 6 videos, covering topics such as Electrical Fundamentals, Sizing, Batteries and Tools needed making everything extremely simple for the do it yourselfer.

After receipt of Green DIY Energy we looked at the materials list and used their checklist and proceeded to go out and purchase them. The final tally of the costs came to $131.67. We found everything at the local hardware store & the local electronics store.

Earth 4 Energy is another do it yourself solar panel guide that made it on our list although it did not meet the level of excellence of Green DIY Energy. It
loses out on a number of points including level of detail and ease of set-up making some points a bit confusing. Putting these negatives aside, Earth 4 Energy is still good enough for the do it yourselfer / novice to get started. The guide is clear and understandable.
There are pictures and videos to help. The costs of parts needed came to $119.54 which was slightly less than the parts for Green DIY Energywhich is a plus point. However, the set up took us more time then we had hoped it would.
In Summary – Even though Earth 4 Energy was the first DIY Solar and Wind Guide put on the market, and was once rated the best, this is no longer so. It is a high quality product but lacks in a couple of areas. Their guide is well written, and they do have some videos, but the quality of the videos are not on the same level of detail and length as Green DIY Energy and the detail is their manuals are not as easy to follow too. Also we were able to have all the manuals and videos etc. sent to us on a CD which helped us out.
The reviews on these diy solar panel and wind turbines guides are based on our purchase and use of both products. I am not an expert in the solar energy field, but I do appreciate using green energy and think this is the future of our planet, our children and their children.
